Upcoming Events

We welcome newcomers! To visit or join the club, please click here to express interest, and we will get right back to you!

Book Club – First Thursday of each month at 10:30am

All are welcome to attend. You need not read all of the book to come along. The book of the month for November is The Spill by local author Imbi Neeme. This debut novel is a heartbreaking story of things that go unspoken and misremembered between sisters and their journey through life.
Following our discussion, we will move on to a local cafe for lunch in the sun.
For more detailed information, click the button below to go to the password protected AWC Book Club Home Page or check the newsletter.

Bible Study – Mondays at 10:00am

The Bible study group is currently digging into the Sermon on the Mount study, by Jen Wilkin. The 90 minute meeting begins with discussion of the week’s study book questions, is followed by a video teaching to help us apply the scripture to our lives today, and ends with a wrap-up and prayer requests. Everyone is welcome to join and experience personal growth in your knowledge of who God is while developing a closer relationship with your Lord.

LaW (Lunch & Wine)- Second Friday every other month at noon

Lunch & Wine was replaced by a tour of Optus Stadium on Friday, October 9. Watch this space for November’s lunch outing.

Coffee Mix & Mingle  – Third Thursday every month at 10:30am

Coffee Mix & Mingle is always a good time, so don’t miss the next one on Thursday, October 22! This month’s location has a cool, retro vibe. Check the newsletter for details. If you’re not a member yet, but you’d like to get to know us at this event, click here to inquire.

Quilting Group – occasional

A new quilting group is kicking off meetings on Friday, October 2. For more information, please check the newsletter.

Volunteers Group – Times and dates vary

This newly formed group of avid volunteers gets together to do group projects as they present themselves, and also has its own page to share individual and group volunteer opportunities. Future projects include preparing afternoon tea for the patients and their families at Ronald McDonald House and collecting gently used professional attire to give to the Dress for Success Initiative. AWC Members can visit the Volunteer page or check the newsletter for more information.

WA-lkers & Talkers – Every Monday, 8:30am

This dynamic new group walks on Monday mornings in locations all around town. It’s a fun way to make some new friends while exploring our beautiful city on foot. Check the newsletter for more details!

Longtimers’ Group – next meeting TBD

Formerly called Players & Stayers, this group activity is being resurrected and reinvented to bring together those club members who have “remained, endured, persisted, held on, and survived” life in Perth!  The first meeting was well-attended and, by all reports, it was a ton of fun and great American diner favorites from Mama Mahoney. The next meeting will be announced in a few months, so keep an eye on this space!

General Meetings – Second Tuesday of each month at 10:00am

Our annual Founder’s Lunch was a huge success with a delicious lunch at The Pagoda, and a fascinating talk by Perth Consul General David Gainer. Details of the October meeting on October 13 are in the newsletter. Be sure to RSVP for this engaging social event and another interesting talk by Former Perth Consul General Robin McClellan. Hope to see you all there!

Cinematics Club – Fourth Wed/Thurs each month, alternating

Cinematics is on hold until January, 2021, due to a shortage of films and a resulting lack of interest.
