General Meetings – Second Tuesday of each month at 10:00am, three times per year, May, August, November

Annual General Meeting is held each February.
The August General Meeting will be held at a location to be decided. The November General Meeting will be held at the Cottesloe Civic Center. Details are available in the newsletter!

Book Club – First Thursday of each month at 10:30am

The AWC Book Club meets at the home of a member to discuss the book of the month, then proceeds to a local restaurant for lunch. The book for June is And The Mountains Echoed, by Khaled Hosseini. For more details, please check your newsletter, or use the members’ password to view the Book Club Home Page by clicking the button below. Hope to see you soon!

Bible Study – Mondays at 10:00am

The Bible Study group will be starting a new study at the beginning of June the home of the study leader every Monday from 10am-noon. In this 10-week video teaching, we will do a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Exodus, chapters 1–18. We will learn that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. This study is supported with a workbook that includes study questions to facilitate group discussion each week and helps us personally apply the scripture to our daily lives. Come join this warm and welcoming group of women who desire to have a closer relationship with God!

LaW (Lunch & Wine)

The next LaW event will be announced. Recently, members enjoyed High Tea at “C Restaurant”, WA’s only revolving restaurant, offering 360°breathtaking views of Perth in 90 minutes. For details, please check the newsletter or express interest using the RSVP button below.

Coffee Mix & Mingle

The next coffee morning will be announced! Check your newsletter.

Quilting & Crafting Group – Every 2nd Friday

The AWC Quilting Club is a great way to turn fellow members into precious, dear friends, while stitching the hours away. This month we will be meeting on Friday, 28 May. June Meeting dates are Fridays, 11 and 25 June. Starting time is 12:30pm and will run until the cows come home or we run out of wine! If you don’t quilt, bring along your small craft project and join in on the fun. If you want to learn the skill of English Paper Piecing, our master quilter Karrina will guide you with the patience of a saint as she did for most of the participants! It’s not too late to jump in! Check the May and June newsletters for the details!

Volunteers Group – Times and dates vary

This newly formed group of avid volunteers gets together to do group projects as they present themselves, and also has its own page to share individual and group volunteer opportunities. Future projects include preparing sandwiches for the homeless at “Perth Homeless Support Group”. Past projects have been preparing afternoon tea for the patients and their families at “Ronald McDonald House” and collecting gently used professional attire to give to the “Dress for Success” Initiative. AWC Members can visit the Volunteer page or check the newsletter for more information.

Longtimers’ Group – next meeting in July 27

This group has had many names over the years but has recently been reinvented to bring together those club members who have “remained, endured, persisted, held on, and survived” life in Perth!
Apologies to everyone who was looking forward to our luncheon at Waldeck’s. They were also looking forward to hosting us!  We won’t be rescheduling there at this time, however, I encourage you to check out Waldeck’s, both their plants and their gift shop are worth a look-see!
Our next event is a catered lunch at the home of Andrea Reuter on Tuesday 27 July, 12 noon.  Cost will be in the vicinity of $20-$25 each. Directions to Andrea’s lovely home will be given when you register.  Please register for catering purposes.  An email with details will be issued in early July.
And for those who really like to plan ahead (like me), you can mark your forward diary for Thursday 28 October!  Lunch at Mama Mahoney’s!!

WA-lkers & Talkers – Every Monday, 8:30am

The walking club is a fun way to make some new friends while exploring our beautiful city on foot. We have been on holiday for a couple of months, and we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to get us restarted!
